King Unique Dub

Spooky Remix

Infusions 4am Remix

We’ve waited long enough, but the return of Australia’s seminal electronic live act Infusion is nigh. In December, their long-awaited new album All Night Sun Light will finally see the light of day outside Australia, and it sees them taking the organic/electronic fusion one step further.

Pushing the envelope as the first single off the album is “So Soon”, a luscious little number blurring between lines of Electronic Pop and Alternative with a (dare I say) Depeche Mode-esque vain running right through the middle of it.  Depeche Mode? Pop you say?  Well, don’t be fooled because this number’s roots are deep in club with remixes from King Unique, Spooky, and even Infusion themselves.  All mixes are geared to the floor and are get-up-off-your-a**-hip-shaking-don’t-stop-til-you-get-enough main floor stormers.

The King Unique Remix and Dub are centered around synth-saturated pads and stabs all on top of tough, driving percussion with a hint of his early years classic “Sputnik”.  Need we say more? Flipping between a tech-house groove and a techno chugger, both mixes devastate the floor.

Now, the Infusion mix is not to be reckoned with.  Tough, crisp techno laced in a pristine quality that you can only find with Infusion on duty.  It’s right at you, front-and-forward, and taking names.  Don’t let this floor massive fool you. Once in the mix, it’s a hypnotic, loop-entranced funkster that will appease any critical ear.

And ahhh, Spooky.  Anything with his name attached to it guarantees perfection. On the moody and synth-heavy side of club, this melancholy number is sure to work it’s way into the archives as a timeless piece of music.
